Terms of Sale and License
Last updated October 29, 2026
These terms apply when you download, try or buy HashShot. Please read them; by buying or using HashShot you agree to them.
Who we are
HashShot is made and sold by HashCode FZE ("HashCode", "we", "us"), a company registered in Ajman Free Zone, C1 Building, Ajman, United Arab Emirates. You can reach us at support@hashshot.app.
Your license
- When you buy HashShot you get a personal license to use it on one Mac at a time. You can move the license to another Mac by deactivating the old one or choosing Move here when you activate.
- The license is yours, not a subscription. It includes every version we release within 12 months of your purchase.
- Every version you received keeps working for good, even after your 12 months of updates end.
- After that, you can buy another 12 months of updates for the price shown on this site (currently $19). Buying it is optional.
- HashShot itself stays the property of HashCode. The license lets you use it; it does not sell you the software or its code.
Free trial
You can try every feature free for 7 days without an account. When the trial ends, capturing and recording stop until you buy a license. Your existing captures, recordings and library stay on your Mac and remain yours.
Buying and payment
Prices are in US dollars. Depending on where you live, taxes may be added at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. After payment, your license key is sent to the email address you used at checkout.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of buying. The details are in our Refund Policy.
Fair use
Please do not share, publish or resell license keys, try to get around the licensing, or use HashShot to capture or record content that you do not have the right to capture. We may deactivate a license that is shared publicly or bought fraudulently.
Your content
Everything you capture, record or write in HashShot belongs to you. It stays on your Mac and we never receive it. See our Privacy Policy.
AI apps you connect
HashShot can work with AI apps that you choose to connect, such as Claude, ChatGPT Codex, Cursor or VS Code. Anything you let such an app receive is handled by that app's provider under their own terms and privacy policy, not ours. HashShot asks your permission before an AI app captures or records.
Support
We answer questions and help with problems by email at support@hashshot.app.
Warranty and liability
We work hard to make HashShot reliable, but it is provided "as is", without warranties beyond those that the law requires. To the extent the law allows, HashCode is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data or lost profits, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have under laws that cannot be changed by contract.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features. The version on this page applies to new purchases from the date shown above. Changes never take away a license you already bought.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Ajman, and the courts of Ajman have jurisdiction, unless the law of your country gives you the right to use your local courts.
